Wonderful original hatchet and Great addition to any collection. It has a tear on the top and some of the rivets are turning green. The leather sheath has the Boy Scout logo on the snap. The end of the handle also has some damage like it was used to beat something.

The flat end looks like it has been used to hammer something.

The blade has some rough spots and has been used considerably, but t is no rust. T are some white paint spots on the handle. It has the original handle, but the red paint is very faded.
